Nice to see some non UK people working at DNeg, planning to go and work there when I finish my master.
I like the subtle changes, it's nothing that really draws the attention from the picture itself, but the feel and atmosphere is completely different from the original.

Thanks Feedbaker. I'm sure you'll enjoy working at Dneg ! For this one, I had to create the military camp. Only one house was built, I draw 4 or 5 different versions and del Toro picked one that I did as a mattepainting. There was a big camera move. It was very usefull to do it as a concept before starting the 3D modeling.

Feedbaker, let me answer to your question here.
I had a degree in Digital Imagery that I passed in a French Universtity. Then I worked a lot on personnal project. I knew that in VFX, I wanted to do mattepainting. I praticed during few months, and then, I showed my work to a vfx french company. They took me to train. There, I kept practicing on reel projects and I got into the Job.
